How can I realize my tests so quickly ?

Oligoscan is a technological revolution made possible fast broadband and the miniaturization of electronic devices. You capture your patient's bio-data with the spectrophotometer. That data is sent through the internet to the central server where it is immediately scanned through specific algorithms, which arrives at your result in real time. Think of it as an on-line pathology service, except you now have results immediately.

Finished is the long waiting time to get results: you can make a test for minerals and get in real time the evolution of trace elements and heavy metals of your patient.

What is the difference between this and the other technologies?

Oligoscan has been conceived to make a precise test of the bioavailability of minerals, trace elements and heavy metals in the body’s living tissues. Think of it this way: measurement of urine is a measurement of excretion which has taken place over the last few hours. Measurement of hair is also a measurement of excretion, which has taken place over the last three months. Measurement of the blood captures what is currently in the body's transportation system.  The muscle tissue and tiny capillaries therein represent the destination - the arrival port. Now you see what has been deposited into tissue: this includes both mineral nutrients and toxic elements.

What is the economic model of OligoScan ?

There are three components to setting up Oligoscan in your practice: 1) the device (spectophotometer); 2) the registration licence - which is enduring and does not require renewal; 3) the test bank.  You only pay fees when you have used up all your test bank. There is no minimum use requirement.  Your subscription includes perpetual use, as well as access to our training webinars. You may instal the software onto as many computers as you wish.

You set your own test price to the patient based on your demographic.

What are the advantages for your patient?

Since the test only takes a couple of minutes, you can show your patient the results during the consultation, then explain how those results are relevant to the patient's presenting symptoms. The patient is engaged in the treatment plan from the beginning, and results over time are monitored, both via patient response, and the changes that are seen on subsequent Oligoscan test results.

How to obtain my spectrophotometer ?

Once the registration is done, the spectrophotometer is registered on the database of the central server and then freighted to you. You will receive your download links to instal the software onto as many computers as you wish.

You will receive download links to instal the software on your computer (Mac or PC) once your account is registered.

How to access to my service?

By a simple secured connection on the OligoScan interface using a normal internet connection. (NB if your internet connection is unstable this can affect the efficiency of your service.)

How to see the numbers of tests made?

Your “practitioner interface» shows the detail of all the tests done.

How does this device work ?

The method used by OligosScan to obtain the results on the amount of trace elements and minerals, in the tissues is spectrophotometry. It is a quantitative analytical method which consists of measuring the absorbance or the optical density of a chemical substance.

The basic principle is that every chemical compound absorbs, emits or reflects the light (electromagnetic radiation) on a certain range of wavelengths.

The more the sample is concentrated, the more it absorbs the light within the limits of proportionality expressed in the law Beer-Lambert.

The spectrophotometry is used in the following domains: chemistry, pharmacy, environment, food-processing industry, biology, medical /clinical, industrial and many others.

In the clinical applications, the spectrophotometry is used to examine the blood or the tissues for clinical investigation.

Is OligoScan cinically validated ?

OligoScan has been validated by our scientific team through an important series of comparative tests compared to the clinical symptoms presented by the patients.

Relevant correlations with blood tests have been observed.

How can I use Oligoscan if my patient is a distance consultation?

When you join the Oligoscan commiunity of practitioners, you can request a distant Oligoscan practitioner to run the Oligoscan test for your patient and email you the results. The patient pays that practitioner for 'test only without consultation'.

How to be informed about the OligoScan news?

As a user of OligoScan, you will receive automatically on your homepage all the relevant information concerning the evolution of the service and its applications.

Does OligoScan also work on Apple ?

The OligoScan system is made to work as well on PC and Mac computers. It is not designed for use on tablets or iPads.

Is the Oligoscan included in the ARTG in Australia?

The device was listed as a class IIA medical device until January 2020. It is not currently registered. No therapeutic claims are made.
